Together we create a future with roots.

A tree helps the planet. Education and health help people. We are starting in one village in Tanzania.

Starting in Rungungu

A village in Tanzania where we have worked since 2024. About 566 children go to the school here, taught by the headmistress and five teachers. We want to give the school and the health centre proper facilities.

Why Rungungu
The entrances to the consulting room and the pharmacy of the health centre, the room names painted straight onto the plaster

He keeps the patient register on paper.

Getting to work and back takes him five hours.

The youngest children sit on a sheet spread on the floor, the desks pushed back against the wall
Desks for the whole school are the second phase.

About 10,000 people live in the catchment area. This is their delivery room.

The centre stands here, but it has no water and no electricity. The doctor goes outside to fetch water.

What is coming

A new centre, clean and dignified, built to help

Instead of repairing the old building we will put up a new one, in the local style. With water and solar power. An examination table, beds and the basic equipment of the consulting room are the centre's second phase, €3,000.

For the children. For the mothers. For the sick.

Building in phases

We are not waiting for the whole sum. Each phase of the Rungungu school is a finished thing the children feel at once.

Rungungu school, Amount raised
€0
of €35,000

Fundraiser in preparation

Target: €35,000

€35,000 is the sum of the project's three phases. We will connect the fundraiser's current total to the transparent account.

  1. €30,000

Phase 1: A safe place to learn

    • new classrooms in the local, natural style
    • separate toilets for girls and boys
    • water brought into the school
    • teachers' housing
The long single-storey building of the Rungungu primary school with a rusting metal roof, in front of it a yard of packed red earth and a pupil in uniform
Today. The school buildings are falling apart and some classrooms can no longer be used.

This phase will give the children a safe space to learn.

  2. €3,000

Phase 2: A classroom to teach in

    • desks and tables, so the children do not have to sit on the floor
    • new blackboards
    • basic classroom equipment
An almost empty classroom in Rungungu: worn wooden desks, a scuffed blackboard and a boy by the wall
Today. Four or five children sit at desks made for two. Those left without a place sit on the floor.

The children will get dignified conditions for learning.

  3. €2,000

Phase 3: A step into the future

    • a classroom with a computer and the internet
    • teaching materials for biology and English
A full classroom in Rungungu, children sitting at their desks under hand-drawn teaching posters hung from the roof timbers
Today. The teaching materials are posters drawn by hand and hung from the roof timbers.

The children will get a chance to prepare for further study and for life.

All three school phases €35,000

We are building the health centre in three phases too, and for the same sums: first the building, with water and solar power, then beds and an examination table, and finally a steriliser and a refrigerator for medicines. The full breakdown of both projects

From here it is up to all of us

Real help matters when it brings lasting change. That is why we combine tree planting with support for education and healthcare.

You can see where the money goes

We have set up a transparent account, where every gift and its use can be followed.

The simplest way

2%

of your tax

Assign 2% of your tax. It costs you nothing extra. We will generate the form for you. For Slovak taxpayers.

Natural persons can assign 2% of the tax they have paid, or up to 3% if in that year they worked at least 40 hours of voluntary activity. Legal entities can assign 2% if during the tax period they gave a gift of at least 0.5% of the tax they have paid, otherwise 1%.
